People, could you tell me the difference between the logos (philosophy) and Logos ()???? Christian Meaning
Many Christians told me that the Logos (Word, Jesus) refer to the theory of deductive and inductive reasoning. Is this correct?
Originally, the Greek word "logos" means many things. Does not translate well in English, but included the concepts of reason, order and the natural world. It is usually translated as "The Word" but leaves many of its original meaning. Aristotle did not used to refer to deductive reasoning. (In fact, the word "logic" comes from "logos".) I think Thomas Aquinas, did likewise, if I'm not mistaken.
